Jerry Yang as the most advantageous professional poker player!

Jerry Yang (born in 1967) is a professional poker player from Temakula, California, and a 2007 chief champion of the World Series Poker tournament games. Jerry Yang was born in Taiwan’s capital Taipei. But when he was 10 years old, Yang Jerry together with his mother Lily and his little brother Ken emigrated to the United States of America, the city of San Jose, California. Yang’s father died when Jerry was two. Despite the fact that Yang’s mother was an English teacher, on arrival in America he knew only a few words in English. He managed to learn the language only in three years, after which Young was transferred to the AP-grade ELA.

Jerry Yang received a bachelor's degree and master's degrees at Stanford University, where he also served as a member of the fraternity Phi Kappa Psi. During his studies at the University Yang was working in the university library, and therefore he had access to a large number of rare and famous books. Now Jerry Yang is a member of the Board of Trustees of Stanford University.

Poker was his only hobby, which he started being interested in thanks to television. Yang started playing poker in 2005. Being an amateur player at the time of 2007 he decided to try his luck at the World Series of Poker. It is natural as anyone can take part in the tournament by paying an entrance fee of $1,000 to $ 50,000. But some are not even required to do those things: Yang got the ticket for the Main Event in a satellite, it cost him $225. In July 2007, two weeks later, he won over 6358 players and received $8,25 million.

Yang summarized his strategy for the tournament: I study my opponents very carefully, and when I fell something bad, when I sense some weakness, I venture. Even if I have nothing, I decide to raise, reraise, bet on the gamble or anything. The only way I could win this tournament was to be aggressive from the start, and that's exactly what I did. And thank God I was also able to collect some good cards at the same time. Once Yang was guaranteed to get the prize money he pledged to donate 10% of his winnings to three charities (the Foundation Make-A-Wish, Feed the Children and Ronald McDonald House), as well as his alma mater, the University Crowbars Linda.

Due to the victory in the main series, Jerry Yang currently holds 17th place in an all-time list of winners of live poker world tournaments.
